This page contains links to the past
activities of the Venturers (with pictures) and also tells you a little more about the
group.
The Unit meets at the 1st Burwood Scout Hall in
no.17
Waimea Street, Burwood on Thursday nights from 7.30pm to 10pm, That
is, when we are not out on an activity, so if
you want to have a look in person then come along to one of our
planning nights - Be sure to check the calendar.
We do all sorts of things like weekend camps (for
several reasons, like an instruction camp for Abseiling or Rock
Climbing, Navigation training, A Standing camp - we would go on day
walks, sit around and generally have fun), movie nights where we go
and see a new movie, Hikes (like a standing camp but instead of being
based in one place we would walk to a different campsite each day and
set up camp there instead), Games nights which involve things like
trust activities and team building sports, Abseiling and Rock
Climbing, Canoe camps and lots, lots more.
